When deciding what career path to take at the end of my schooling journey, I knew that I wanted a career that would combine my passion for Medicine with my love of food and cooking. Dietetics was the perfect combination!
I completed a Masters of Dietetics and Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition at Deakin University. I have also completed the Monash University Low FODMAP diet course for Dietitian's in addition to training in the Crohn's Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED) and the benefits of Gut Directed Hypnotherapy using the NERVA smartphone app.
Through my work in my private practice, working alongside Associate Professor John Lubel, I am able to assist clients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions such as IBS, FODMAPs, IBD, Coeliac Disease and reflux. I can also help with weight management, Type 2 Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Hypertension and high cholesterol.
In addition to my private practice, I run the disorders of gut-brain interaction the musculoskeletal outpatient clinics at The Northern Hospital.
My diverse workload also enables me to work as a Research Dietitian at The University of Melbourne and Deakin University on a range of studies which focus on the impact that diet and weight management have on bone health and Osteoarthritis.
I love being able to assist clients to improve their relationship with food and improve their health so they can be the best versions of themselves.
