No, you do not need a referral to see a Dietitian. However, if you wish to receive a Medicare rebate, you will need to talk with your GP to see if you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan


No, only patients over 18yrs are seen at this practice. However, you can find a list of Paediatric Dietitian's available on the Dietitian's Australia website via the 'Find a Dietitian' function


  • You may wish to keep a 1-2 day food diary prior to your appointment as this is useful to discuss during your consultation.
  • It is always encouraged that you write a list of topics or questions that you would like to discuss during your appointment


Eating Disorders require complex care by a Dietitian who has done additional postgraduate training and certification. Gemma recommends Meg O'Connor from Crunch & Co Nutrition and Dietetics who is a credentialed Eating Disorder Dietitian.


  • You can find a list of Dietitian's who specialise in Eating Disorders on the Dietitian Australia website via the 'Find a Dietitian' function.


  • Before your appointment;
    • You will be sent a new patient intake form via email which you are required to complete prior to your initial consultation.
    • You will receive a text message confirmation of your appointment 24-48hr prior to your scheduled appointment.
    • If you are scheduled for a telehealth (video) consultation, you will be emailed a link to the telehealth consultation prior to your appointment. All telehealth appointments are conducted by the secure clinic management software Halaxy
  • After your appointment;
    • Within 24hr of your appointment, you will be emailed a detailed summary of your appointment and any educational resources which may be beneficial to you
